When a client comes to me with a problem, I want to understand as much about their issue and situation as possible, so I can determine the best way to approach the challenge and solve their problem. I want to know about their company and their team, the context under which the issue has arisen, and the reasons they have not been able to solve the problem on their own. My first concern is whether an issue requires immediate action. Second, I need to understand the complexity of the issue which may require consideration of a variety of legal approaches. Third, I need to learn about the other parties involved in the matter, so I can take into account their perspectives and drivers that may impact our legal strategy. My job is to provide clients with the best legal advice for their situation, and always the advice that is in their best interest.

Bob Burchette is hired to resolve difficult disputes with unique issues that require creativity and a fresh approach. He is a master at identifying successful strategies for closely held business owners and other clients that help them reach the right and best result in litigation. Whether zoning, construction claims, insurance coverage, shareholder disputes, business divorces or succession conflicts, Bob quickly identifies the core issues and develops the smartest way to move the case forward. As an attorney, he is especially well known for his experience and expertise in construction law and litigation, having handled disputes in many states and jurisdictions, and represented major construction clients and other businesses, for more than 30 years. Because of these long relationships, Bob’s clients rely on him to guide them in numerous other areas – helping them identify the best strategies and advisors to keep their business competitive and interests as profitable as possible. In addition to construction disputes, Bob has been deeply involved in right-to- build, condemnation and conservation easement matters, and has lobbied on behalf of the construction industry. Bob is also a sought-after certified mediator and arbitrator and is referred often by other lawyers who know his leadership in the North Carolina bar construction section, the American Bar Association (ABA) and the American Arbitration Association (AAA).
