Duke University hosted its 44th Annual Estate Planning Conference on October 13-14, 2022. The event offers great insight into developments in the estate and fiduciary law field. This year’s conference was comprised of several presentations from estate planning professionals and legal scholars. Topics at this year’s conference included a review of fiduciary cases, uses of grantor and non-grantor trusts, the SECURE Act, the Principal and Income Act, and several more.
Johnston Allison Hord was excited to have two partners, Kyle Agee and Kim Kirk, present this year’s North Carolina Update session. Their program covered estate planning developments in North Carolina over the past year including notable cases, and legislative proposals and changes.
