Johnston Allison Hord is excited to welcome our 2026 Summer Associates Cade Grable and Harper Puckett. Read below to learn more about Cade and Harper.
Cade Grable
Cade is a Pittsburgh native and a rising 3L at Wake Forest University School of Law where he serves on the Law Review. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Pittsburgh.
Cade was drawn to law by the opportunity to help clients through some of the most difficult moments of their lives, along with his lifelong love of reading and writing. He is particularly interested in healthcare law and enjoys transactional work. His goal is to build a successful practice known for a high standard of client service.
Believing that genuine kindness and respect go a long way in all careers, the best piece of advice he has received is “treat others the way you want to be treated.”
Harper Puckett
Harper is from Graniteville, South Carolina and holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Clemson University and is currently a rising 3L at the University of South Carolina School of Law.
Harper was inspired to pursue a legal career by a strong desire to advocate for people and serve others during important moments in their lives and is most interested in litigation. While pursuing his J.D., he has interned with the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, conducts research on systemic issues within South Carolina’s correctional system, and has competed in national mock trials as a member of the USC Law Mock Trial Bar, where he serves on the executive board.
Hoping to build meaningful relationships and make a lasting difference for the clients he serves, Harper is guided by the advice “you can’t control every outcome, but you can control how prepared you are for what comes next.”
