Johnston Allison Hord partner Lauren Martin recently served as a panelist at the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) “North Carolina Fiduciary Litigation” CLE program held January 29, 2026. Lauren was joined by Kirk Sanders of Kurtz Whitley Guy Sanders & Rainey PLLC for a discussion titled “Power of Attorney Abuse and Tortious Interference,” where they addressed critical issues including identifying POA abuse and mismanagement, fraud detection, and litigation strategies for asset recovery.
The CLE program featured sessions covering several topics in fiduciary litigation, including litigating elective share and marital rights, navigating proceedings before the clerk versus Superior Court, tax law considerations, will caveats, and the use of experts and discovery strategies in fiduciary disputes. Johnston Allison Hord was proud to be represented through Lauren’s participation in the program and her commitment to educating fellow attorneys on complex fiduciary matters.
