Meritas Law Firms Worldwide hosted its 2023 Global Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois, on May 3-5. Marty White, Sheldon Stokes and Steve Gennett were pleased to represent Johnston Allison and Hord. The three day event saw Meritas members from over fifty countries foster relationships and attend educational sessions highlighting trends in the legal industry. The Sessions spanned the latest developments in legal technology, data strategy, and the featured speaker, Arne Duncan, former US Secretary of Education under the Obama Administration.
Johnston Allison Hord was proud to have two of our attorneys participate in several panels and presentations throughout the event. Sheldon Stokes served as a panel participant on the Women’s Leadership Congress, presented the rebranding of the Emerging Leaders Committee, and was joined by firm managing partner Marty White for a discussion about the relationships between young lawyers and law firm leadership. In addition to their participation in discussion, Sheldon serves on the Meritas Board of Directors, and Marty serves on the Firm Management Forum Steering Committee.
