The law firm of Johnston Allison Hord is seeking a versatile IT Support Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for helping support the firm’s IT infrastructure, a wide range of business applications, and end users across the organization. The position blends high-touch, user-facing support with hands-on systems work and requires strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset. Prior law firm experience is preferred but not required. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-touch support in a fast-paced professional services environment with high expectations for responsiveness, discretion, and follow-through
- Maintain current-generation Windows Server environments within an enterprise virtualization platform, including regular updates and maintenance
- Monitor server health and proactively address potential issues
- Manage device inventory (laptops, desktops, phones) using a cloud-based endpoint management platform and other end-user support tools
- Support and troubleshoot legal and business applications, including a legal document management system (DMS), an enterprise productivity suite, and practice-group-specific applications
- Administer and support cloud-based productivity, identity, email, and unified communications platforms
- Assist with email security, user awareness, and compliance platforms
- Support and troubleshoot managed print and imaging devices
- Perform user account management, access control, and onboarding/offboarding using directory services and identity management systems
- Document solutions, procedures, and technical changes
- Work collaboratively with IT staff and vendors on system improvements and projects
- Assist with conference room setup, AV equipment support, and video conferencing troubleshooting.
- Participate in IT projects such as hardware refreshes, software rollouts, and system upgrades
- Provide after-hours, holidays, and weekend support as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in IT support or a related role
- Comfortable working in a highly user-facing role with frequent direct interaction with attorneys and staff
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise document authoring and formatting tools, including troubleshooting complex formatting issues
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, non-technical language
- Proficiency in managing and updating Windows desktop and server environments
- Experience troubleshooting cloud-based email flow and spam filtering systems
- Familiarity with multi-factor authentication, secure remote access technologies, and cybersecurity best practices
- Experience administering enterprise productivity platforms and directory services
