J. Wriley McKeown is an experienced litigator licensed to practice in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Mississippi. His practice is primarily focused in South Carolina, where he represents local and regional corporate clients in construction and real property disputes and complex business litigation matters. With over two decades of litigation experience in both the private sector and the United States Military, J. Wriley has seen it all and offers excellent representation to his clients.
J. Wriley began practicing law in Jackson, Mississippi after earning his J.D. in 1999. He later moved back home to the Carolinas and has practiced as a litigator in the areas of construction litigation, insurance defense, criminal defense, and civil defense in the Charlotte Region and Upstate South Carolina. In addition to his work in the private sector, J. Wriley has served in the United States Military as a legal advisor and Judge Advocate for a variety of units and during multiple overseas deployments. He is currently assigned to the U.S. Army Reserve as the Staff Judge Advocate for the 84th Training Command. During his military service, he has represented and provided strategic legal advice to high-ranking military officials earning him several accolades including two Bronze Star Medals in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Defenses Meritorious Service Medal while serving as a Senior Legal Advisor and Military Deputy Staff Judge Advocate at United States Central Command in Tampa, Florida.
