Bob Burchette was a featured speaker at the 2011 Carolinas Association of General Contractors (CAGC) Building and Utility Division's annual meeting in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on July 15.

Returning as a speaker for the fifth consecutive year, Burchette spoke about recent proposed NC legislation to require a certificate of merit as a condition to filing a lawsuit or arbitration against architects, engineers or other design professionals which he assisted the CAGC in defeating. Burchette also discussed proposed revisions in the NC lien law, as well as recent NC cases which could impact contractors and subcontractors.
