Wanda C. Townsend receives 2009 Women in Business Achievement Award
Johnston, Allison & Hord, P.A. is proud to announce that WANDA C. TOWNSEND is a recipient of the 2009 Women in Business Achievement Award presented by the Charlotte Business Journal. Each year, the weekly business newspaper honors 25 professional women who have made exceptional achievements in business in the Charlotte region. This year’s recipients were honored at the 13th Annual Women in Business Achievement Awards Luncheon held at the Charlotte Convention Center in Uptown.
Ms. Townsend, a partner of the Firm, focuses her practice primarily on lender representation, commercial real estate, landlord and tenant leasing, health law and general business law. She is a member of various professional organizations, including CREW Charlotte, the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, the North Carolina Banker's Association and the North Carolina Society of Health Care Attorneys. In addition, Ms. Townsend is involved in community service, including having been a board member and past president of Hospitality House of Charlotte, as well as participating the past couple of years in the Hope Floats charity field hockey event to benefit the Rachel Giblin Scholarship Fund at Charlotte Country Day School.
Ms. Townsend is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A., 1987) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law (J.D. with honors, 1991). A native of Charlotte, Ms. Townsend is married and has three sons.
