The Levine Museum of the New South’s New South News recognizes JOHN MORRICE for Johnston Allison & Hord’s support.
The fall 2008 issue of New South News, published by the Levine Museum of the New South, has recognized Johnston, Allison & Hord and John Morrice for partnering with the museum over the past two years. In 2007, JAH served as presenting sponsor for the museum’s annual "New South for the New Southerner" series and, in 2008, the firm increased its support by joining AARP North Carolina as lead sponsors for the "Corapeake" exhibit.
Morrice was quoted in New South News, saying: "[JAH’s] history in this region makes us appreciate the value of supporting the Museum’s programs. We are a 40-lawyer single-city firm in existence since 1922. Though we have national and international relationships, we are a Charlotte firm intimately tied to the region. We were formed the year after Cameron Morrison became governor of North Carolina (1921) and through a twist of fate have his law partnership’s books in our library. In the tradition of a firm with strong local roots located in the New South, we reflect our community’s demographics with lawyers from this region and across the country. We are privileged to provide the museum ongoing support."
