Kathleen K. Lucchesi (Kathi)

Advises and defends employers with regard to all employment issues including EEOC and wrongful discharge claims and claims brought under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA and FMLA.
Assists employers with the drafting and review of employment handbooks, contracts and severance agreements.
Advises and represents individuals charged with and/or under investigation for various white collar crimes including antitrust violations.
Advises and counsels corporate employers when employees commit criminal acts such as embezzlement and corporate malfeasance against the company.
Obtained petition for discretionary review to North Carolina Supreme Court for defendant-physician and defendant-medical practice in a medical malpractice action.
Successfully defended hospitals, medical practices, physicians and nurses against medical negligence claims at trial.
Obtained extensive jury trial experience prosecuting attempted murder, armed robbery and narcotics trafficking cases during six years at the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office.
